Saturday Morning Long Run @ Kawaneej Vets
Sep 23 @ 6:00 am – 8:30 am

This week meet at  the Vets at 06:00 for 21k marathon taper run

Lots of drink stops along the way, typical pace anywhere between 5min -6min per k. Please bring a few Dirhams for a drinks stop we make at the “Lafi”.

Monday Club Night Run @ Mushrif Park Mirdif
Sep 25 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

This is our main run. We normally get around 25 runners. We do a lap of 4.5km, break for
drinks, then another lap if you are up to it. Start and finish point is the same so you can ditch
the second lap if required, so 9km total. We have a duty runner whose job it is to look after
any newer runners. They sweep up the back and will encourage you in. Running speeds are
between 4 mins/km to 6.30 mins/km. I am sure you will find someone to run at your pace.
7pm start (meet at 6:50 outside the main gate that you pay to get in, park on the side of the
road). 5AED contribution for water/sports drink. (more advanced runners meet at 6:30 and
do an extra lap total 13.5K).

Wednesday Speed Work Night @ Mizar running track/park
Sep 27 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

We hold an interval session at Mizhar Park. at 7pm start (we meet at the 600 m mark to do warm up first at 18:40). Actual session starts at the 0 m mark.
Sessions vary.
This week: 5 x 1 mile @ 10k race pace with 2 mins recovery.

Please bring plenty of drinks to keep topped up between
intervals. If you just want to come for a gentle workout then you are welcome to join us on
our warm up and warm down, or do your own thing.
